By accessing or using TopBotList ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TopBotList is a platform for discovering, listing, and voting on Discord bots. We provide tools for bot developers to showcase their bots and for users to find bots for their Discord servers.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must sign in with your Discord account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when signing in
- Maintain the security of your account
- Not share your API tokens with unauthorized parties
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
4. Bot Listings
When listing a bot on TopBotList, you agree that:
- You have the right to list the bot
- The bot does not violate Discord's Terms of Service
- The bot description is accurate and not misleading
- The bot does not contain malware, spyware, or harmful code
- The bot does not collect user data without consent
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Manipulate votes through fake accounts or automated means
- Submit false reports or abuse the reporting system
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Post spam, misleading, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
6. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to remove any bot listing, comment, or user account that violates these terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the Service or its users. We may take action without prior notice.
7. API Usage
Use of our API is subject to the following conditions:
- API tokens must be kept confidential
- Rate limits must be respected
- API access may be revoked for abuse
- We may modify the API with reasonable notice
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TopBotList and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to display it on the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF BOTS LISTED ON THE PLATFORM.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOPBOTLIST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
